Serafini's Trattoria is an italian restaurant in Erie, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 417 State St, Erie, PA 16501, which places it among the local businesses of Erie that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as bar, fine dining restaurant, takeout restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Erie is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Erie follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Serafini’s has always had amazing food, but their brand-new downtown location on State Street is absolutely stunning! They have done an incredible job bringing their classic Erie history into a beautiful, elevated new space. We stopped in for dinner and the vibes were fantastic from start to finish. The meal was absolutely delicious, the service was warm, and the atmosphere feels both modern and welcoming. It is the perfect spot for a date night or a night out downtown.

My wife and I went to Serafini's for our anniversary. The new locations parking leaves a lot to be desired, but that was my only complaint of the whole night. When we got in, it wasn't terribly busy being earlier, and we were seated quickly enough. My wife ordered a cucumber lemon drink and I had a captain and sprite. They brought out bread and drinks, the waitress was very nice and service was quick. Drinks were delicious, even a little strong, which is perfect. She had a ravioli and I a chicken alfredo, both of which left plenty to take home. I don't know 100% if they make everything in house, it tasted like it. With every restaurant using the same frozen/cysco menu, this definitely stood out as being better. The bread kept coming, we declined desert and had a nice time. Our total was 102.00 for both of us(all in, with tip), which is about what i expect for an anniversary dinner. Great quality and atmosphere, nice people. Crowd started to get busy as were leaving and it picked up a little. Overall, definitely see why they have the great reputation, hopefully it continues

Went here for my birthday, mixed experience, but would recommend. It's better for a nice casual family meal than a special occasion. Atmosphere is lovely, the Cashier's House is looking great! FYI Chef's table = table in the kitchen right along the line. Had its charms, everything neat and clean, but not conducive to conversation. Kitchen staff seemed happy to be there; always a good sign. Cocktail menu has some imaginative offerings, wine list looked very good especially with some interesting dry whites from Italy. We were greeted with chef's meatballs, very tasty! Arancini (pictured) were delicious, but the salads were delivered seconds after they arrived and the entrees weren't far behind. Very rushed experience overall. We sat down at 6:30, in less than 20 minutes everything was crowding the table. That might be good sometimes, but wasn't what we were there for and doesn't match the atmosphere. Wine I ordered to go with the entree never appeared, server checked halfway through whether I still wanted it--which was appreciated. I declined. Staff overall was very friendly, but needs a lot of training on timing and coordination. I was looking forward to the homemade cheese rav

In loveeeee with their new space! They did an amazing job remodeling this gorgeous historical home and making it the next stop for your family dinner or couples date night. Everything was clean and organized, food was delicious (bread and oil we couldn’t get enough of), and all the staff were smiling and happy to help. Well worth the money and a second visit.

My boyfriend and I love authentic Italian food and were so excited to hear about Serafini reopening downtown. We have been twice and had great experiences both times. The most recent time we went, a few weeks ago, we sat at the bar and had excellent service. Our bartender was so personable and made great drinks and recommendations. We had the homemade Italian wedding soup that was easily the best I’ve ever had. We also ate the arancini’s, lobster ravioli in alfredo sauce and pistachio gelato, which were all out of this world. The portion sizes were perfect and everything was very fairly priced. I would definitely recommend coming here for a date night or a casual Sunday evening to enjoy some great food, service, and atmosphere!
